Elephant
Once upon a time there was an elephant.
As elephants go, he was happy. He lived in a zoo with a warm place to sleep and keepers to bring him food, with people who came from far and wide to see him. He was never lonely.

However, Elephant was easily scared. When the sky grew dark and the wind howled through the zoo fences he would rush to his concrete room and hide. Lying shivering under the straw, he often thought about how good it would be to have another elephant there to be scared with.

A design for a skull tattoo, tribal style.

Update: Seeing as this stands as my most viewed deviation, I thought it deserved an upgrade. So I've redone the thing in photoshop, making it clearer and sharper, and as close to flawless as I'll get it :)

and about your "mistakes"... ideal symmetry is boring ;)
